It's Columbus Days in Columbus Ohio.... Columbus Best Blog goes victualing in honor of Christopher Columbus... I found the word 'victualing' on an Oxford Univertiy Press blog about Christopher Columbus.According to Ask.com 'victualing' means:

The OSU Buckeye's play Bowling Green today...I couldn't even find much of interest on the Columbus Sports blogs I've been collecting on my blog roll (is blog roll one word or two? blogroll or blog roll?)...
Instead of football I decided to blog about Columbus Food Bloggers.... Lisa at 'Restaurant Widow' and Rosie at 'Bitchin in the Kitchen with Rosie' are two of my favorites on my Columbus blog roll. I have had trouble with the Columbus Foodie blog for some reason.. opens slow... it's a blogger blog for pete's sake... isn't it? I have seen it so seldom...maybe I ought to take it personally... I put it in my blog roll, took it off my blog roll..
My Columbus blogroll or blog roll? Cabbage roll, sweet roll, dinner roll.... It must be a blog roll.
Today is The North Market Harvest Festival... fall produce, scarecrows, live music, activities for kids, entertainment, pie baking contests...
I ran into a potato poll this morning on my quest for Columbus Food Blogs... and joined a planet. Buckeye Planet... you can hardly get get away from the Buckeye's in Columbus even if you want to...

I went looking for another blog that a Columbus Blogger told me is a food blog...Dave's Beer... I have visited a time or two.. great blog but is it a food blog? Is beer a food? It has lots of calories so it is a food... Dave of Dave's Beer has been obsessing about his home going on the market for a bit... it's on and

Maureen, that term (victual) is used a lot in Massachusetts. In fact, a restaurant license in Mass is called a Common Victualer license. It is a license to sell food prepared on site. It's an old word from Middle English according to Webster. Probably more than you care to know, huh?
Thanks Fred.. that is funny. I saw it and it made me think of 'The Beverly Hillbillies' TV show because "the Clampets" called food, "vittles"? Or at least that is what I thought they were saying. When I saw the word on the Oxford University Press Blog about Christopher Columbus' voyages I thought it probably meant storing up food for the journey but I thought it was an interesting word. Maybe Jed, Granny, Jethro and Ellie May were saying "victuals" and I heard it as "vittles."

Columbus italian fest website shows the 2007 festa is gonna suck in comparison to all. The idiots had to move the festa dates and lost ray massa"s eurorythems to play. They were the only good thing to come to it for. Sure cant see giving money to come to a BIG NOTHING festa. Wheeling was good,,and san marguerite festa was GOOD. Saint Johns is Gonna suck. Save your money,,better yet-let the church pay you to come!!! CIAO
I am excited and looking forward to the 2007 Columbus Italian Festival this weekend myself. I certainly would not expect the church to pay me to attend.
I blogged about The Columbus Italian Festival on my new blog earlier this week. It's so frustrating to try to do anything with this blog at this point so I have not blogged since the first. Getting to your comment was a chore, I can't tell if your comment is posted. The way I have my account set up it should not be visible... but enough about my frustrations....
