Lily,
Princesses really like to wear pretty dresses, but they don't have to wear pretty dresses to feel pretty. Sometimes princesses like to wear sweatpants or basketball shorts and these clothes still make princesses feel beautiful. Sometimes wearing a pretty dress just isn't very practical. For instance, when working in my royal herb garden, (which can be a dirty job because there are always many weeds to pull and many chipmunk holes to patch) it wouldn't make sense to wear by best dress; instead, I wear a t-shirt and jeans.

P.S. The chipmunks are very smart and they always find new places to dig tunnels, so I know that they are not harmed when I fill the holes they make in my garden:)
