Tablet Purchase?

I'm in the market for a new laptop with windows 7. As a Realtor I want to be able to have a client sign a contract on the computer screen for much better efficiency. I've heard that tablet computers have some inherit problems that normal laptops don't. Also, aren't the new laptops that are coming out have touchscreens where I assume a client could sign any contract? I'm willing to pay for a good quality portable computer but don't want to over spend for something I don't need. Also, are most people going to web based programs?

Don't ignore MacBook... they offer some pretty cool features, and I think one is "Docu-sign", right on the 'mousepad'. They fully use Windows or Mac OS, and are very solid dependable computers. Two of my daughters got one each for graduation, and I'm seriously considering switching back to Mac for my next machine... VERY SERIOUSLY!
