What To Do On Hilton Head Island-Part III |
Hello, All!
The is part III in my series on "What To Do In Hilton Head Island". As they say, "And now for something completely different"!
Hilton Head Island has been very fortunate in the last few months to have a couple of new additions in the entertainment field. The first of these is The Shoreline Ballroom.
The Shoreline Ballroom is a terrific venue for all kind of acts. In July, Old Crow Medicine Show, Gallagher, The Luke Mitchell Band and The Marshall Tucker Band will play. Lost in the Media also plays regularly as well as various local talent.
August acts include Perpetual Groove, Pink Floydian Slip, The Del McCoury Band w/ No Strings Attached, Col. Bruce Hampton and the Quark Alliance, Leon Russel w/The Martin Lesch Band and Sister Hazel. Future acts include The Indigo Girls. There seems to be something for everyone!
The Shoreline Ballroom is located at 40 Folly Field Road at the entrance to Hilton Head Beach and Tennis. They can be reached by calling 843-842-0358 and you can see all the fun for the summer by visiting their website at www.shorelineballroom.com.
The second new addition to Hilton Head is the aptly named Hilton Head Comedy Club. They are open and ready for business! They are located at Pineland Station on hwy. 278 and will have national acts such as A. Whitney Brown,Ron Shock, and Pat Godwin as well as some area comedians.
John Biddle, co-owner of the club, says he is booking national acts using Hilton Head as bait. He calls it a "vacation gig". For example, Mr. Biddles says A. Whitney Brown loves biking so the bike trails all around Hilton Head Island were a factor in luring him here.
These are two great new additions to the Hilton Head nightlife. If you haven't been here, you gotta visit! If you already live here, get and out enjoy! Remember, in Hilton Head, it all about the lifestyle and our lifestyle is GREAT!!
