Here we are coming into the weekend with the second of two nor'easters hitting the coast. But it's not stopping my clients from setting up appointments to see property. They know the mortgage rates are extremely attractive right now, and the weekend is still optimal for working people to search for their perfect beach house - regardless of the weather. Spring will be here before you know it, and who knows how long these great interest rates will hold out. Or the great prices, for that matter.
Inventory, I feel is at normal levels, with the fewest choices in the 400K and under range. That continues to be the "hot" price range for today's second home buyer in Brigantine. That price range was at one time considered "entry level" here in Brigantine - but no more. You can score a nice single family home for under 400K in today's market. Not beach block of course, but alot closer than before. Golf course properties are the hottest commodity right now. There are some beautiful homes with nice price tags back there. And since Brigantine is such a small, quaint island, you are never more than a VERY short drive to the beach, no matter where your home is located.
With interest rates staying low and well priced inventory available, the buyers are coming in rather steadily. Could be the best time to step up.
