Lancaster Pa Real Estate Advice |
"THE FIRST OFFER IS THE BEST OFFER" is an old Real Estate saying. Many sellers are wondering if they should hold out when the first offer is presented on their home? *You would be surprised to learn that more times than not, the first offer is often the HIGHEST and BEST offer. Keeping your house on the market in hopes for a better offer can actually be detrimental to your bottom line. The longer the home is on the market, the greater the concern in the minds of the buyers as to why nobody else wanted it.What is the first thing YOU might ask when you look at a home? "How long has it been on the market?" to gauge the receptiveness of a seller to a low offer.
~Deb from NY says” I invest in properties for rental opportunities. Anytime that I have made an offer I am ready to buy and have already thought out what was the most I’d be willing to pay for this property . I also consider what someone else might offer. This may even cause me to increase my bottom line offer slightly. But by the time I present it to my agent I already know that this is the price I would be willing to pay.”~Anita from Willow Street says “ I don’t have the extra time to haggle with offers so when I make an offer that is the offer that I feel I fair for both parties” There are often many other details that need to be negotiated so I make my offer one less problem”
~Susan from Lancaster says” When we looked for our first home we actually had two or three homes that we were interested in. I knew my budget and when I presented the offer to my agent for the first choice I wasn’t too disappointed when it came back denied because I just presented the same offer on my second choice home. My budget was still my budget so I just had to find the house to fit that amount”.
