I am looking at an email fax service.  Has anyone had any experience with myfax.com or efax.com?  Which is better?  It appears that myfax.com is the cheaper.  Right now I need as low cost as possible.

I can say that I've used MyFax for several years, flawlessly, and it has great customer support. Great product, $10 a month.

Hey Peggy

I agree with Joseph

Myfax.com is a better of the bunch with a reasonable price. ALthough depending on what you're looking for there are ones that only charge 3bucks a month...

I use e-Fax. I was a Call Wave customer and e-Fax purchased Call Wave. I pay $10/month and have absolutely no complaints about the service. My use is limited to incoming faxes. I use my phone line for outgoing faxes.

Good luck,

I have used eFax for years. Works great most all the time. Only disappointment is when I get billed for going over my limit!

But, eFax is being bought by MyFax so there is no choice to be made anymore - it will be MyFax.

I also have tried pFax and is is good and cheap.

I love eFax, didn't know it was being bought by my fax, the support has been great when needed which is rarely. I mostly scan and email but for receiving contracts via fax from clients it has been awesome. I tried Trust Fax for two years but the service was lousy (IMO) the toll free number was nice, I think eFax has that available to.

I am currently using MyFax and find it to be very user friendly and an excellent tool to have available. I have also been impressed by our office copier that has email capability. When I am in a hurry I can stop by the office send a quick email by using the copier. I simply place the document, number of pages is no issue, in the copier and enter the email(s) and start, just like copying. It is great! Many of the emails that alot of the agents use, e.g, attorney, banks, etc., are already programmed into the machine making it quick (with a receipt).

I heard about ufax.net here a few years ago and have found an excellent service. They have an NAR discount available too for realtors. Their usage plans at the time were the most generous I could find. I do a lot of short sales, and I RARELY go over my limit and even when I do, their overlimit fees are reasonable.

Their standard plan includes Up to 1,000 Inbound pages and up to 500 Outbound. Ask about their discount.. it is less than the 12.95 they show on their site.

Happy customer of www.ufax.net

5.0 out of 5 (rated by 1 member)

I just looked at my fax, and wow... I now REALLY like ufax. I pay around 10.00 a month for ufax and as I said in other message it gives you 1000 inbound pages, and 500 outbound.

Also for 10.00 a month my fax gives 100 inbound, and 200 outbound pages/month.

What a HUGE difference!

and efax.com - it is 16.95 per month and 130 inbound and ZERO outbound? Their site shows .10 a page for outbound...

WOW. What am I missing here? Why would anyone use efax?

I found a website that does a comparison of most, if not all, of the electronic fax companies: FaxCompare.com.

They have really good, useful information, including prices, pros and cons of each of the services. I initially chose OneSuite.com as it had the best price, best service, and reasonable customer service. The only problem I had with it is their interface would not work with Windows Vista and they had no plans to upgrade. I discontinued their service immediately.

Then I tried UnityFax.com. WOW!! What a difference. For around $50, you get 14 months of unlimited incoming and 100 outgoing pages per month (there are more plans with more outgoing pages). You can send via their web page, or you can send right from your email account. And their customer service is top notch. I send them an email and will have an answer in a matter of minutes. The longest response time was a question I sent in on Saturday night...was answered Monday morning around 3 am PST. (I'm guessing they take weekends off...)

100 outgoing pages doesn't sound like much, but I don't tend to send faxes that often, I email my offers to the listing agents. So unless you are completely dependent on outgoing faxes, 100 pages will work just fine. I have found that incoming is much more important and you can't go wrong with unlimited incoming faxes for $5/mo or $50/yr.

I have had an eFax account in the past and I loved it, but UnityFax.com is definitely the cat's meow when it comes to fax service, price, and customer service.
