Why doesn't "Reply" function when I send email from my TREO

I use my TREO all the time for email, but when people try to respond their email bounces back if they use Reply. The emails get through when they type my email address into the Send box. My IT dept. says there s nothing they can do about it.... the problem is at the other end. Is this true or are they just being difficult? (Which does happen)
