The Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction
With Oprah's airing of 2 shows on The Secret, the law of attraction is becoming mainstream. And, yet, there seems to be lots of controversy about the validity of the claims for its effectiveness. I had recommended the movie last summer and again a few weeks ago and got some interesting feedback that is posted on here. I find, perhaps, the biggest benefit of all this hoopla is the fact that people are looking for themselves more deeply at where they can be more effective. The awareness of what works and what doesn't is the first step to change. When you are asleep to having any power in your life, you are handicapped. So, whether this all fits your view of reality or not, the thinking about what your view is is valuable.
Here are a few other links to articles taking a good look at how it works:
What I do know for myself is I experience being able to easily get what I want when
-
I am very grounded in my gratitude for what I have,
-
I have a clear idea of what I want
-
I let go of being a control freak and quit trying to force it my way
-
I take action-lots of it
-
I look for who else is in my life to help me and I ask for help
A couple of important concepts that I find useful from the whole discussion:
-
What I focus on expands Wow! I have become much better at monitoring my inner and outer voice to try to notice when I am thinking negatively.
-
When I have clarity in what I want, I don't have to define and know all the steps to get there. So, going with the flow and being interested in how it might take me another route is an option these days.
You know, I can't logically explain to you how quantum physics works, but I do know that I put a picture of Machu Picchu on my wall by my desk last year and looked at it every single day and I am going to Peru in May all expenses paid! How cool is that?
So....what do you want? How can you use the Law of Attraction to get there?
