It's all about YOU!!!! Time to get really selfish......
"Remember, a high quality life has far more to do with what you remove from your life than what you add to it." -- Cheryl Richardson
Self Care is a necessity not a luxury. Your survival is paramount to doing anything else.
You can't excel at business or focus on your highest priorities if you aren't physically able to do so. Most sickness is stress caused and the good news is that you can change your reactions to the events that occur. You have full control (and responsibility) to live a stress free life. So, maybe it is time to raise the standards of care you give yourself, so you can respond in a calm and relaxed manner when life throws you the roadblocks!
Here's a Self Care check up!
Answer Yes or No
1. I take off one day a week
2. I eat a nutritious diet most of the time.
3. I have gotten all the health tests appropriate for my age within the last year.
4. I do something everyday that brings me joy.
5. I exercise at least 3x per week.
6. I spend time daily reflecting on the abundance in my life.
7.I do at least one thing each day to pamper myself.
8. I do not worry -instead I quit awfulizing or take action.
9. I spend time with people who love and respect me.
10. I set boundaries with others so they don't negatively impact me.
Now add up your yeses:
0-3 You probably feel tired and burned out. STOP IT and add some things this week!
4-6 You are on the right path but will feel more energized if you add to your list
7-10 You are doing a good job! Bet you feel great too!!!!
Keep it simple. Add only 1 or 2 new items for a week before adding more, but stay aware each week at how well you are doing. Make a list of other items that nurture or rejuvenate you and put those items on your calendar FIRST!!!!!! One coaching tool I use with my clients is called The 10 Delicious Daily Habits. If you'd like to use that...click here and you can print it out.
