Dec. 11, 2007 - Intention Deficit?

I don't find it useful buy into all the negativity about the economy. In an article yesterday by Donald Lambro, titled Bank on An Improved Economy, he tells us:

  • Mortgage Applications rose last month
  • 95% of mortgages are being paid on time
  • 85% of sub-prime mortgages are being paid on time

You can find the good news, if that is what you are looking for. I ask my clients, sometimes, when they share a perception or belief,"Does that empower you?" Quite frankly, most people are chattering all day about things that disempower or depress them. Then, those circumstances become the reason they can't attain or achieve what they truly want.

The question I have been asking these days is "Where are the opportunities?" Now, when I ask myself that question, it empowers me because I can look to see how I can be a solution for a problem that people are facing. I've been hearing that some of the real estate coaching companies are laying off coaches. On the other hand, in my world, I've been getting more inquires than ever. I believe it is a perfect time to hire a coach! In the real estate market world: the interest rates are great, builders are offering higher commissions and buyer incentives, there are deals for buyers in almost every market...2008 should be a great year! If....you have a vision and a plan.

It will definitely take some repositioning. I am calling it REINVENTION.
Here's my question for you to ponder:
DO YOU HAVE AN INTENTION DEFICIT?????
or, are you ready for 2008 to be your best year ever?

  • Do you have a clear picture of what the year is going to produce and how that is going to happen?
  • Are you giddily happy with the abundance you already have and ready to build the next level?

Start with your vision: picture it a perfect year and you are celebrating on New Year's Eve 2008...What were your accomplishments?
Next, Create your Strategies: Where will your business come from? Who will your perfect clients be? How will you reach the Internet Buyers? What niche markets could you own?
Design Your Marketing: Be creative and don't skimp, but don't spend money on low payoff media.
Plan Your Actions: Know your numbers for prospecting and conversion and determine exactly what you need to do each week.
Plan Your Vacations and Downtime: Make sure that balance and fun are part of the plan, not a hoped for leftover.

If you have these pieces in place, you have given yourself a reserve, instead of a deficit. Right now, this pieces need to be put into place so you can hit the ground running and make 2008 the best year ever.

And, BTW, if you need support in any of this...that's what I do! See opportunities below.

Making A Difference

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead

Las Vegas Realtor, Chris Shouse, undertook a big project this year to help kids with no place to live. Here is an update and she needs some help! If you even have a small amount, it will make a difference.

GIFT IDEA: Wondering what to get a woman who has everything? Honor her with a post on www.InspiringWoman.com. Along with the public recognition, a donation of $10 (or more-you decide) to CARE will help others in need.

Great post, Joeann!  We become what we focus on, don't we? This is a wonderful reminder to count our blessings and focus there instead of on what's not right.
