Sep. 22, 2005 - New Mexico

We woke to a vividly beautiful  sunrise in Zuni yesterday. My husband, Bub, and I are spending 9 days in New Mexico- I'm doing a few ePRO preseentations, taking a couple of CRS classes and doing a little pure relaxation and decadence. My idea of lots of fun!

Zuni began our first night away. We discovered a wonderful Bed and Breakfast called the Inn at Halona that is right in the middle of Zuni-authentic western decorations and a yummy breakfast. We did a little Christmas shopping at one of the cooperatives and then drove off towards Santa Fe.

Being on the open western roads makes my heart sing. The beautiful mesas and wildflowers in bloom combined to lull me into thinking it's a great big wonderful world. So far away from the places and people with problems. A wave of graditude comes over me for the immense and  amazing prosperity that I am fortunate enough to be able to experience.

We ate last night at Geronimo's in Santa Fe. The lavosh was garlic flavored and exquisite. I ordered the 3 course Seafood dinner and Bub had the Elk. Every bite of everything was absolutely perfect. I savored lobster, scallops with caviar, and the best cheese-filled ravioli I have ever had. The key lime tart we shared. What a perfect finale! If it isn't apparent, this is where the decadence came in :>)

Life is good and I am very grateful! The journey today is extraordinary!
