Tuesday Tip: Guarantee Yourself A Great December
Guarantee Yourself A Great December
Is December going to be your most productive month this year? Or are you taking a bunch of time off? Maybe, it is possible to have both! Have you considered how you could make that possible? Let's do some intentional thinking instead of being tossed by the inconsistent winds of fortune.
Here are the steps to take for a great December:
-
Pull out the calendar for the entire month
-
Block the days and times you want to take off
-
Put in the days that will be Peak Performance Days (80% of your activity dollar productive)
-
Go to as many parties and gatherings as you can with a plan to connect with a certain number of people with a purpose (it needn't be pushy or needy salesperson asking for business- rather finding out what's coming up for them in 2008 or some other discovery question)
-
Leave 20-30% white space in the calendar for spur of the moment (or crises)
-
Have fun all month
NOW is the time, call your ENTIRE database! Wish them Happy Holidays, update their contact information, birthdays and anniversaries, and check in to see what they are up to!
Do this and, trust me, you'll create business you hadn't expected in January. A few years ago, one of my clients, ended up with 6 listings just from her December calls!! PLAN to make it the best month of 2007.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Last week, I came across this site to send a card of thanks to our servicemen. Maybe you have a relative that is serving. My heart goes out to you. I do not, but my first husband served in Vietnam and I remember what a scary, awful year it was for him and for me. So, it seems a good idea to send thanks, no matter how you feel about the politics of the war, to those whose lives are on the line for our country. Take a minute and send a word of thanks!
TECH TIP E-Faxing
I love the convenience of having my faxes delivered to my email, so no matter where I am, they will be delivered and I don't have to worry about missing anything. I am talking to agents who are choosing not to buy a fax, but use e-faxing exclusively.
I use the software from Vreo, called Dashboard made for my tablet which includes a toll free fax number, along with everything else I need to be paperless. If you have a tablet and haven't checked this out, take a look!
There is a site comparing faxing sites at www.FaxPrices.com
Some free sites for receiving include www.K7.net, www.eFax.com, www.FaxZero.com and www.FaxDigits.com
