Plan Your Summer NOW!!!!!
Plan Your Summer NOW!!!!!
Some forethought now will maximize business, minimize crisis management and give you some opportunity to enjoy the summer.
Take these 5 Steps as you pull out your calendars for June, July and August:
1. Put in vacation and holiday time, family time and rejuvenation time, as well as any business travel. Whether you are going to take a two week (or month long) vacation or some long weekends, create some real fun and enjoyment.
2. Take a look at your business plan. What production is necessary to be on target come September 1? Break it down into the available weeks Know how many units you must list or sell to be on track. For the very left brained: how many people do you need to talk to or see each day/week?
3. Review your marketing calendar for these months (What? You don't have one? How could that be? :>) Ahem.....Plan your advertising, your mailings, your events, and your contacts for the entire next 90 days. This is a good time to do a review of what has been working this year so far and double your efforts with what is working best. Eliminate the low return mailings/ads.
4. Create a plan with an office mate or your team so that the days you will be away will be able to be worry-free. Choose someone to watch your business that will take care of your clients with the same high standards you have. This can even pertain to your weekly "day off" (you ARE taking one, aren't you?)
5. Reconnect this summer with one of your passions. What do you love doing? Gardening, reading, riding a bike or a Harley? What have you been putting off doing until you have the time? (for me, it is learning to weave). Find time this summer to nurture yourself by enjoying yourself. This is for the right-brained among you......when you are relaxing and having fun, you attract to you EXACTLY what you want, need and intend.

Best of NAR MidYear Meetings
This year's NAR Mid Year Meetings in DC were attended by 10,000 of us.
I enjoyed the trade show and the education sessions and meetings, and found the networking the most valuable part. It was fun to visit with ePROTalk and RealTalk folks. The Internet Crusade treated us to libations! What great guys!!!!
Some highlights:
NAR Chief Economist David Lereah statistic-filled presentation, After The Boom, indicated deceleration in 2006 after five straight years of spectacular growth. He does not predict a bust and suggests we may see more growth and appreciation in 2007 after some cooling this year. Future strength will be impacted by the favorable demographic trends, the baby boomer retirement and 2nd home purchases, the growing Asian/Hispanic populations and more balanced markets.
It gives you a toll free fax line, on line storage vault and ease of encrypting signatures. This is the key to becoming paperless!!! Their website has some terrific, short videos on using the tablet, and the differences between a notebook and a tablet. They will educate you to all the important criteria when choosing.
Use my name when ordering to get a $50 discount on the software.
WCR honored me with their Connections Best Article 2005 Award at the Awards Dinner last Friday! What a delightful surprise. This was my article on Tablet Computers. If you are thinking of buying, my article will help!
My new preferred provider for the Motion Computer Slate Tablet is www.toptabletpc.com I can offer you a $50 rebate to you if you order through them for your Tablet.
Trade show had few new products or vendors.
Although I guess just still being there is an accomplishment! I mostly gathered giveaways to bring home to Lily.
We saw 3 booths with lights for your signs-how long will those last before being stolen, I wonder?
One new product called Hyperhitch caught my fancy. Turn your vehicle into a moving billboard!

Opportunity or Distraction?????
All too often, we want to do it all!
Your energy and focus is more powerful if it is concentrated, not dissipated over many priorities.
Three major priorities are the optimum number for maximized effectiveness.
(Not to mention, the breathing space of not feeling overwhelmed!)
Successful people know some things can and will wait.
And, many other things are definitely more of a distraction than opportunity.
Know which is which and let go of the distractions!

Paris in the Spring!

Monday was chilly (50) and rainy, but we toured on the bus rouge to the major sites. Since it was May Day, Most museums & stores were closed. We walked to the Opera, where a political rally Was being staged. Then saw the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elleyse the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. Lunch of Champagne, Oysters & French onion soup was followed by a nap! oh, the decadence! Mais tres bon. Dinner with Danielle and her sons, Oliver & 9io and her sister, Michelle was wonderful Italian!
