Just two days until Fun Fest 2008 in Sun City Center, Florida. That would be Saturday, March 15, beginning at 9 AM.

The tents are being erected, the parking and NO parking areas are being marked off, and the booths for the different participating organizations are taking shape.

The activities all take place in and around the buildings that make up the central campus of SCC. Also known as the Atrium area, the swimming pools area, or the lawn bowling area, find your way to Cherry Hills Drive and Pebble Beach Blvd. N. and you can't miss the crowds.

Close-in parking can be a problem if you don't arrive early. Best advice is to go to the Community Hall on Pebble Beach Blvd. S. and ride the free shuttle provided by the Mini-Bus of Sun City Center. Plenty of parking there. This might be the best plan for those readers from out of the area.

Golf cart users can park in the fenced area at Cherry Hills and Pebble Beach Blvd. N.

Plenty of games, good eats for various tastes (even a vegetarian lunch is planned), crafts to buy, and entertainment to watch.

A Health Fair coordinated by the Men's Club of Sun City Center will be in the new dance studio. The Model Railroad Club will have demonstrations and the new state of the art Fitness Center will be open for the interested.

The weather forecast is for a warm, sunny day and performances start at 9 AM with a "Salute to Patriotism" and prizes will be awarded to the best patriotic costume.
