Help For Homeowners in Trouble

There was a list of resources in Sunday's Washington Post aimed at homeowners who are facing a problem paying their mortgage. In case you missed it and need the information I wanted to share it with you here. This is certainly not an exhaustive list. If you know of other good resources please respond and add them! And if you don't need them today, say a little "thank you" prayer and tuck them away! None of us knows when it might be our turn!

Tips on what to do when worried about foreclosure:

• Freddie Mac's guide to avoiding foreclosure.
• NeighborWorks America's Center for Foreclosure Solutions
• The Homeownership Preservation Foundation's national housing hotline: 1-888-995-HOPE

Some groups that can provide housing or information:
