Sell-A-Bration 2008 in Hawaii

Sell-A-Bration in Honolulu at the Hilton Hawaiian Village ResortThis year’s Sell-A-Bration, my first, was terrific. Of course the venue (Honolulu) wasn’t too shabby either, despite lots of rain (took some personal time to take a Trek up Diamond Head). There was obviously lots of focus on the market and strategies for dealing with buyers, sellers, marketing issues and much more, plus a terrific group of vendors. Networking and learning opportunities were bountiful as well.

I have no basis for comparison, as this was my first, but if this was a good example of the quality of convention that Sell-A-Bration is, then it was A+, and if you have NOT ever been, then you owe it to yourself to go next year…in San Francisco.

The Hawaiian theme was obvious everywhere Craig Ives and others at a networking lunch

Part of the fun is networking – I came back with tons of cards and new friends. And the learning was outstanding. It’s impossible to share it all, but if you would like to learn some of what I took away from this event Click Here to Receive 10 Pearls of Wisdom. Pass it on to YOUR friends.

Going to Sell-a-Bration?

Categorized in: Feedback

I am not attending Sell-a-Bration this year, for a variety of reasons. But I expect a number of you are.

This is an invitation for those of you who attend to post some feedback and comments about the convention when you return. This will help members who don't go  learn some things or perhaps be inspired to attend in the future. Your post might be about the learnings in one or more of the sessions, or just general comments.

I hope to hear from you!

BTW Be sure to put the San Diego CRS members' Coffee Chat

on February 13 from 10 - 11:30 on your calendar.

Sell-a-Bration is the annual CRS convention, being held in 2007 from January 31 to February 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. I am planning to go for the first time, as I believe many of the SoCal CRS Board Members are.

There is a neat program being offered through the National CRS organization. So if you are planning to go to Sell-a-Bration, PLEASE READ THE NOTE BELOW ABOUT REGISTERING
For every 10 registrations from SoCal CRS, our chapter will receive a free registration with a drawing held to determine the winner. Registrations MUST be completed on the special registration form, coded for SoCal CRS, that was in the most recent newsletter (and was handed out at the general membership meeting on November 17th). Our chapter is also sponsoring a contest – the member who brings in the most registrations (provided at least 10 tickets were sold) will win a free ticket to Sell-a-Bration.
If you misplaced your newsletter and need the special form, please contact the SoCal CRS Office at Info@SoCalCRS.com or call Kari at 888-277-0818.

Sell-a-Bration 2007

I am planning to attend the CRS convention in Las Vegas in 2007 - my first for this organization. Is anyone in the San Diego area planning to go?

I have been to several RE/MAX conventions and most recently the C.A.R. convention in Long Beach. I have usually found that there is so much to learn and do, and that I come home feeling somewhat overwhelmed with what I have heard...and trying to decide what to put into practice. Seems like there is just not enough time, and so many things are of interest that making the decision is hard.

I'm curious to hear from other CRS members about their experiences with Sell-a-Bration, and how it compares to other conventions they have attended. I have heard great things about this particular convention but wondered  how others felt about it.

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for first time attendees?

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND SELL-A-BRATION, PLEASE USE THE SPECIAL FORM IN THE MOST RECENT NEWSLETTER TO REGISTER. FOR EVERY 10 REGISTRATIONS ON THIS FORM ONLY THROUGH SOCALCRS, WE RECEIVE A FREE REGISTRATION FROM THE NATIONAL CRS ORGANIZATION THAT WILL BE USED TO SEND A SOCALCRS MEMBER TO SELL-A-BRATION. REGISTRATIONS ON-LINE DO NOT HELP US IN THIS EFFORT!
