For those of you who could not make the first meeting of 2008 on Costa Mesa, here's a run down.
The meeting started off with the reports from the President, Treasurer, and Committee Chairs. There was a silent auction for raising funds for Habitat for Humanity ($100) plus our two-for-one raffle - won by Marlene Bridges who donated HER half (about $110) back to Habitat for Humanity. About 57 attended.
Two of our sponsors were there - Bank of America and Hallmark Escrow, with handouts, goodies, and some prizes.
Dr. Bernice Ross share several hours of wisdom and insider secrets for real estate success in a down market. More of some of this learning later - but if you did not come away with multiple ideas for improving your business you may not have been paying close attention. The challenge, of course, is making the decision about what you want to do and implementing it.
All in all it was a great meeting with lots of information. See you at the next one in Santa Barbara on June 27 at the Hotel Mar Monte with Chris Byrd.
