The next COFFEE CHAT for the San Diego CRS members will be in 2 weeks on

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 4th from 10:00 – 11:30 AM

WHERE: The session will be held at the offices of Countrywide Home Loans, in La Jolla, who has generously offered to sponsor this meeting and provide space. Their office is located conveniently just off the 5 on La Jolla Village Drive, so it should be pretty easy for you to get there (and since we are starting the meeting later, avoid the traffic). The address is 4370 La Jolla Village Drive, Suite 100 which is a short distance East of the 5.

SPEAKERS:

  • Andy Konopacki, President of VM3 Environmental, a mold inspection firm - come learn more about mold, and what can be done to assist your buyer and seller clients. Here's a link to an article Andy shared with my readers on my Relocation A to Z blog.
  • Scott Isgitt - Director of Sales for One Call Home Showings, a new service that schedules showings on your listings and obtains showing feedback (all for about the same price as using an automated showing feedback service like HomeFeedback.com). For more information NOW on this service, call SCOTT at (619) 955-8288.

We will also talk a little about the next quarterly SoCalCS membership meeting being held in Temecula on October 5.

Come by to learn, network and enjoy a snack. ALL FOR FREE!

Follow-up on 2nd Quarterly Membership Meeting

Jul. 16, 2007
Categorized in: Meetings
The 2nd quarterly membership meeting of SoCalCRS was held in Santa Barbara on Thursday July 12 at the Hotel Mar Monte (photo above). About 60 CRS folks (most were members of SoCalCRS) attended.
SoCalCRS President Emily Link (photo at left) started off with some general comments and announcements, and Marlene Bridges, Treasurer, provide a brief overview of the status of our organization (we are very solvent and in great shape financially). If you want more specifics or have an interest in the details, please feel free to contact Marlene at Marlene@MarleneBridges.com.

The highlight of the meeting was a terrific talk by Marc Davison, highlighted by a series of predictions based on trends he has observed in the past few years and the direction that our business is going, whether we like it or not (sorry about the photo - the lighting was a challenge with the projector lighting).

Some key learnings:

  • We need to Think Green (know who our customers are and apply design aesthetics that appeal to them; be transparent; )
  • act small and be nimble
  • take responsibility
  • embrace who we are
  • be truthful in everything we do
  • shake up our old ides and replace with new
  • think globally
  • “play it safe” by embracing change

If you ever get to hear Marc, DO IT. He has some terrific information and ideas to share and get you thinking about your business in today’s technology and consumer-oriented market.
