Off to San Francisco for a Few Days

I wanted to let you know I may not be writing again until Monday or Tuesday of next week. I am off to Monterey today, then to San Francisco for a couple of days, then passing through Paso Robles on the way home.

I am due back home on Monday June 4. I may do some writing enroute...but maybe not!

Have a great weekend!

Taking a Few Days Off

Nov. 3, 2006
Tagged with: earthquakes, san francisco

I am taking a few days off to spend the long weekend (and my birthday) with my wife in San Francisco (Nov. 3 - 6).

Years ago, while living in Minnesota, we had an opportunity to move to SFO due to my wife's job. We both love the city and did consider it...and looked at some housing. The housing was so expensive compared to MN as well as Boston, so we decided to go back to Boston where we had lived before. Of course prices went crazy in Boston, so the difference was not so huge. But the big reason we decided not to go to San Francisco was that my wife was in SFO on a business trip during the big earthquake in 1989, so that nixed that decision.

15 years later, earthquake fears, I guess, subsided and we are now here in San Diego. More on that later.

Have a great weekend!
