I May Not be Your Corner Store, But…

…even in this global economy, people are looking for like-minded people to help them market. Like-minded can mean 5,500 miles away. The best online retailers provide more than just a product or service. They provide advice as well. Whereas products that line the stores of Wal-Mart are generally left to sell themselves, service providers like me have to constantly offer add-on services, superior advice and nearly constant two-way communication and information in the form of blogs, email, Twitter and Facebook.

It’s like a corner store all over again, definitely not the feeling you get when you walk into Wal-Mart.

If you’re an online business like me, what kind of advice and knowledge are you offering with your products and services? Your personality comes through with every communication you make. If you communicate credible messages in a credible way, prospects will sense that and choose you over a no-name, big-box service provider.
