Education class on smartphones.

Just checking to see if there is an available education class on smartphones that would be appropriate for our local board. Maybe where each type of phone could have an hour or two devoted to the specifics of that phone. We are in Georgia and I had a one hour class at last years GAR convention in Ashville, NC but the class was huge and all phones and many attendees just seeking info about phones. I did some receive useful info but like the discussions here with additional info - there is so much more out there. I am on the Education committee next year and would love to see this offered.
If you have not already had Dick Betts's class you need to get him. He is great and the leader of this blog. www.dickbetts.com
Check him out....he really knows his stuff or will find it out for you and let you know.
Yes, I agree Completely. I, too, sit on my Board's Education Committee, and I saw him at the NorCal CRS Chapter for my board, and then HIGHLY recommended him for a presentation at our board. Shortly thereafter, I bought a PAlm Treo. Quite frankly, I would have been overwhelmed with info, although I sometimes do read the instructions, but his presentation is polished and his powerpoint helpful. The "Tips and Tricks" portio9n has saved me a bundle of money, with regards to using my phone as a modem when I am away with my laptop, as well as grafitti and getting a keybosrd. We had a huge response at our board, and there were a lot of happy people as they learned about their phone, and just stuff they did not know that their phone could do. The interesting thing was that at the time, I did not have a smartphone.
Incidentally, my wife who is not too open minded about technology was very interedted in getting the new phones for us after the first session we attended, and we bought Dick's video, which we have shared with some of our agents to show them what the phones do, and they are now interested. It is the way of the future.

If I remember correctly, he started this blog on Real Town.
You say you used your treo for a modem to your laptop. Does it work as well as a connection card. I only use the laptop 2 or 3 weeks out of the year when traveling and really can't justify paying for the whole yr. Are there other alternatives when traveling to get to the internet that are cost effective?
