They are forecasting 6 dollars a gallon by the end of the summer and quadruple airfare....yikes
I just paid $100 to fill up my truck the other day. Actually, I'm not sure if it even filled up because the pump stopped right at $100. I think this pump was capped at $100 worth of gas.
I think it's time we dust off our bicylces :)
What burns me is how many other things are also affected by the gas prices, prices of food has gone up, utility prices have risen. Vendors are charging a surcharge to keep from raising their "normal" prices. I know that women are not getting hair/nails done as frequently. I've always been careful to route my showings in a circle. Have you checked the price of meat lately? I'm thinking they need to find a way to capture all the gas the cows make and use it for fuel. LOL! You could solve two problems at the same time. Judy
There's a lot of talk about how speculators have driven up the price of gas Here's an interesting article from the Economist debunking this theory. www.economist.com/opinion/displaystory.cfm. I think the main argument is that oil is not being hoarded which would have to be taking place in order for speculators to influence the price.
