Gary L - I have to agree with you about TP's support. Virtually everyine I talk to agrees that their support is the best. They will be getting "Best in class" from me on my CRM Comparison Matrix.

When agents speak of Top Producer, they always mention "their team". Personally, I am a team of "one", so maybe that's why I wasn't thrilled with TP!

As a single user going back to 5.1. With each improvment to 8i. I have been able to maintain current and timley follow up with ease and with out having to hire help. The hardest part was learning all that you can do with TP and taking the time to place all of the parts together. When I look at other systems they just do not seem to offer as much. It does take time but better than the 3x5 cards in the follow up box.

Cyndi,

I'm also a "team of 1"...and I just made a move over to Advantage XI! I've been using Goldmine for 8-10 years, but have, over the years tried a dozen or so (including 4 different versions of TP...ending with 6i). And in recent years I've demoed quite a few (looking for that better mouse trap...something that well-addresses the unique needs of real estate). I've had XI now for less than a week, imported nearly 2000 records, and am aggressively diving in to get as much "content" into those records as possible. I will say the XI has CONSIDERABLE tools to help do that (many "global" editing features were I can first filter down to the specific records I need to make a single change to...then make that single change to those specific records with basically a single click).

Having only used the product for a bit over 2 weeks, I'm certainly no expert...but I will say I'm impressed with this product like no other r/e specific product I've ever seen. The features and customization capabilities it has are AMAZING. And though I'm new at this program, I can tell you it has been surprisingly easy to implement thanks to the 120 or so online video tutorials. Most are "bite size"....so when you have a particular need, just grab the appropriate video lesson and VOILA!

What a relief to finally see positive comments about TP8 and support!

We've been testing CM programs for over a month and had it narrowed down to Advantage XI and TP8 (we're currently TP6 users). Our company definitely works as a team and while both programs offered most everything we wanted TP seemed more comfortable to use - we'll have several "Power users" and several "extreme light users" and TP seemed intuitive enough for everyone.

I'm sure we'll find things we don't like, as with any software program in existence! I hope the conversion process goes smoothly - that's got me a little nervous - we have over 6000 contacts in TP6. But, I can't wait to be able to update my data from home and not have to go to the office!

When I converted to TP7i from On-Line Agent/Agent Office the TP staff helped me import a 10,000+ contact database. It took a couple of hours but it really went very well.

TP does offer some nice bells and whistles. I love that I can prepare a flyer and publish it to the web and then mass e-mail a group with only a link in the e-mail rather than an attachment. ( You can e-mail attachments too but I'd never do that to a large group.) Someone getting the e-mail clicks the link and their browser opens the flyer I created which resides on TP's computers. Very cool. I use that all the time.

And the Mass e-mail feature only is worth the price of admission. Everyone getting the e-mail thinks it was sent to them and them alone. It is addressed to them and uses mail merge fields if you like and they do not see who else you mailed it to. I sent out 1000+ the other day. It took less than 10 minutes

Gary, Have you used TP8i? I have used TP for over 10 years, and like you, I send several hundred emails each month, with the active link to a flyer, and about every 90 days send 2000 to 6000 emails at one time with ease using 7i. I have tried using 8i but keep going back to 7i. Let us know your thoughts on 8i if you have used it. After December 08 we will only have 8i. Thanks

Interesting point Gary. No-one ever mentions that. If you are an agent who does, or wants to do large e-mailings, TP allows you to do that at no extra charge. If you wanted to do that through your e-mail provider, they would either disallow it it, or charge a monthly fee for it.

Has anyone used Eureka Ware for Realtors? How do you think it compares to other programs. It appears to be easy to learn. I had it for a short time and then got a new computer. They just now have it for Outlook 2007. It works along with outlook.
