Funny you should mention that... Melissa, Sydel, and I saw him perform at Spreckels last Tuesday and he did that song...

I just heard "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" by Eddie Vedder (Originally The Beatles) from the I Am Sam soundtrack. Very good cover, true to the original, but in Vedders unique style.

Yes, that is a great cover!! I've heard him sing that live. :)

I think 'Hard Sun' is a cover too, not sure who did it first but Eddie's version is very good.

I didn't realize that was a cover... I guess it was by a dude named Indio . Eddie closed the show with that.

Eddie/Pearl Jam have had some great covers... some more faves:

Keep On Rockin in the Free World (Neil Young)
Last Kiss (Wayne Cochran)

Eddie's version of Hard Sun is definitely a great cover as well... The whole album from Into the Wild is great.

I've been listening to Bob Dylan's 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration in my truck this week, and have been reminded of at least 3 more of my favorite cover songs:
1) Chrissy Hynde singing I Shall Be Released
Many have covered this song, for good reason, but I think this one's the best version.
2) Eddie Vedder - Masters Of War
Love the lyrics. Song was actually written PRIOR to the Vietnam War, but the lyrics are very applicable today as well.
3) Shawn Colvin, Mary Chapin-Carpenter, Roseanne Cash - You Ain't Goin' Nowhere
Definitely not a country music fan, but these ladies did a great job on a much underappreciated Dylan song.
