Wow... this one was a real tough one for me to compile; hence my chiming in well into the thread.
My main consideration was each album's ability to stand on its own and that every song is as good as the next... Mainly though, that each one has personal meaning, in addition to its listenability.
- The Beatles -- Self Titled (White album)
- Smashing Pumpkins -- Mellon Collie and the Infinite Saddness
- Far -- Tin Cans With Strings To You
- Red Hot Chili Peppers -- Blood Sugar Sex Magic
- Radiohead -- OK Computer
- Deftones -- Adrenaline
- Soundgarden -- Superunknown
- Kings Of Leon -- Aha Shake Heartbreak
- Chris Cornell -- Euphoria Morning
- Quicksand -- Slip
Honorable Mention:
- Smashing Pumpking -- Siamese Dream
- Jimi Hendrix -- The Ultimate Experience
- Nirvana -- Nevermind
- The Beatles -- Revolver
- Rage Against The Machine -- Self Titled
- Pantera -- Vulgar Display of Power
- Tool -- Undertow
- The Doors -- Best Of The Doors
- Fleetwood Mac -- Greatest Hits
- Far -- Water & Solutions
I highly urge everyone to pick up any and all of these records. You will not be dissapointed.

and I would ultimately try to sneak my ultra ghetto jams mix CD too...for when I need to get down. :]

Here are my top ten as of today. I guess it depends on my mode.
- The Rollings Stones - Hot Rocks I

- Prince - Purple Rain
- Pantera - Best of Pantera: Far Beyond the Great Southern.....
- Metallica - S&M
- Nirvana - Unplugged
- Pearl Jam - 10
- Bad Company - Run With The Pack.
- Sixx: A.M. - Heroin Diaries
- Edith Piaf - Eternelle

Edith Piaf - Eternelle
WOW !!!! Michele !!!
You Used a KEY word here... Edith Piaf. I drive, eat, work relax, listening to Edith Piaf. She is my inspiration. Every song depicts a love story, sometime heartbreaking, other times filled with hope and joy depending on when she released that song during her "rollercoaster life".
In other words, I absolutely would take nothing but Edith Piaf's songs on that desert Island ( with some food and water ;) ).
While I would like to have every song...Here is my TOP 10
1. Edith Piaf - Les amants de Paris
2. Edith Piaf - La foule
3. Edith Piaf - Mon Dieu
4. Edith Piaf - Padam... Padam...
5. Edith Piaf - La vie en rose
6. Edith Piaf - La Goualante du pauvre Jean
7. Edith Piaf - Eternelle
8. Edith Piaf - Tu es partout
9. Edith Piaf - Les amants (with Charles Dumont)
10. Edith Piaf - L'accordéoniste
If you need me to translate anything....Don't hesitate !!!
Yves.
