A friend and i were out golfing, he hit a nice drive , decided to use his 5 wood for his second, took an big swing, everything looked great. For him but not the sea gull he hit and killed in mid air with his ball.

Oh my gosh what a scene that must have been. When I was younger I hit a ball on a long par three that just missed two beautiful geese. I think the ball actually went between their two heads. When I got to the green there was a sign that said "Home of Oddie and Oddet". I was very relieved that they didn't have to shorten the sign.

It was pretty crazy. I have come close to hitting different kinds of animals and birds myself, but to see it happen. Wow!

Wanted to play golf today, but trying to get a closing in the works. The seller(bank-forclosure) has some strange ways of doing things. The PA had to be their form. They couldn't just sign our standard forms. Nuts. Paperwork faxed and emailed back and forth for 5 weeks. Hopefully close early next week.

We are heading to Bowling Green Kentucky on the tenth with the two youngest grandsons (10 and 9) to visit Mammoth cave and to hist a few of the golf courses in that area. The boys are just starting to get into the game and we love taking them out with us. They especially like it when we let them play and we caddy for them.
