Los Gatos is an incorporated town in Santa Clara County, California, United States. The population was 28,592 at the 2000 census. It is located in the San Francisco Bay Area at the southwest corner of San Jose in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Homes are mostly upscale, varying from century-old one million-dollar cottages in the downtown area to 7- or 8-million-dollar large custom homes in the surrounding hills. I find this one of the most rewarding markets and take pride in the high degree of loyalty that I receive from these buyers. It may take longer, the average price may be lower, and you may have to show more homes before they are comfortable enough to make the decision to buy, but at the end of the day, there is the great satisfaction of knowing you have helped another family obtain their share of the American Dream. One other thing, first-time buyers usually become second-time buyers at some point in the future. If you do a good job the first-time and stay in touch along the way, you may have made a client for life.
