Life in the Wilmington North Carolina area is an awesome! The barrier islands are big attractions for boaters and fisherman. Outdoor sports are all the rage, with an abundance of golf courses, and tennis, surfing and UNCW sporting events, all having their local enthusiasts.
UNCW was recently rated by national magazines as one of the best University in the country in its price range.
It said we have more restaurants per capita than any other town in the U.S.! In one day you could enjoy a breakfast on the beach, lunch on the Intracoastal and dinner by the Riverfront!
The cultural scene is impressive for such a town of this size, bustling with our very own symphony, museums, art galleries, theatres, and a proliferation of live music in our restaurants and clubs. During the season the Mayfaire Towne Center hosts free outdoor music concerts every weekend for the whole family, and there always seems to be a Festival or celebration of some kind going on!
The terrific climate, with its gentle change of seasons, and bright and sunny winter days attracts visotrs and relocatees from around the globe! There are housing styles and prices to fit any budget.
