I closed on a sale this week.  It was so hot!

At the local health food store, Mana Foods in Paia Maui HI.

They bought my excess habanero peppers from the garden.

I made 10 bucks.  I bought some ice cream.

 SPRINGTIME ON MAUI

It's time to plant a garden, what are you going to grow?

Do you have lots of pretty flowers and plants in your garden already?

Your local garden store has varieties that will thrive in your area.

Plant some things that don't need a lot of water and attention.

Buy some seeds and plant yourself a veggie garden.  Pole beans are easy to grow and good for you.  Cherry tomatoes are almost foolproof.  Kids like to help too.

BUYING MAUI REAL ESTATE - I CAN HELP YOU

I'm looking forward to assisting you with the buying or selling of Maui real estate. If you're a first time buyer you'll have lots of questions that I can help you with. Maybe you're looking to upgrade to a different home and would like to see what's for sale now. Do you have a property that you've been thinking of selling? Are you looking for a bargain? Whatever your real estate needs, I'd like to offer my service as a licensed Paia Realtor to make your transactions go smoothly. I'm your Maui Real Estate agent to get you the best deals!
It's all about YOU.

Hi, my name is GEORGIE HUNTER and I am a licensed Realtor Associate on the island of Maui, in Paia! I'm sure I don't have to tell you about the uniqueness of the State of Hawaii. Natural beauty and unspoiled resources are some of the attractions of the Hawaiian Islands. The air is clean, the water is clear and the people are really friendly. The spirit of aloha is everywhere. It's a healthy environment that encourages a healthy lifestyle.

After coming here on a month long vacation in 1978 I fell in love with this magical place. It wasn't long before we had sold everything back in Canada, and moved over to Maui. Starting out Upcountry, and then moving to Kihei, we decided on the North Shore as the place we wanted to spend our time. We were lucky to find a fixer upper near the beach in Kuau, and proceeded to fix it up!

Since buying our first house in Paia we have developed other properties, including the 7.5 acre parcel on the north shore where we currently live, and an oceanfront cattle ranch where we raise organic beef. The countryside along the coastline of East Maui has always been our favorite location. Stretched along the Hana Highway are many little communities where life is slower and things are still the way they used to be. Somewhat remote, and sparsely populated, the hills and valleys of the road to Hana hold a lot of hidden treasures. We enjoy a rural lifestyle that makes off-the-grid living a reality. With wind and solar power we have all the comforts of home in a 3 bedroom/2 bath house, and detached cottage. As far as I can tell, Maui is a special place and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Just got back from Kahului - whew!

Apr. 18, 2008
Categorized in: Maui Photos

Friday - had to go to "town" (Kahului Maui) and run some errands... take library books back, pick up fencing materials, pick up conduit materials, lunch at Sub-Way, shop at Costco

Isn't it funny how you always run into somebody (or 2) you know at Costco?  I'm so glad I went along with my husband today, as I ran into many people on my travels.  At Costco a man approached me and asked if I was still selling real estate, and could he have my card... he says he's been looking for me for a while... his parents have moved here and they are looking for a home.  I met him when he was selling fresh ears of corn by the roadside last summer (or was it 2 summers ago?).  Anyway, it was good to see him again and get caught up, and I look forward to helping his parents.

We took our WWOOFER along for the trip and she had fun too... sampling foods and pushing the cart around.  We're going to miss her when she leaves next week.

Back home now - checking the emails.  It feels so good to be back out in the country where the air is cooler and no more hubbub and traffic...... whew!

Let's go to the beach - Ho'okipa Beach Maui Hawaii

I have done it!  My first blog with picture here at RealTalk.  I am making great strides today.  This beautiful scene is of Ho'okipa Beach Park on Maui's north shore... just about a mile from the town of Paia.  It's ground ZERO for windsurfers from around the world, and training grounds for the Maui boys.  At the far end is a nice little break for beginner surfers and kids, where it's protected from the current and really big waves.

Of course I don't need to tell you that there are many nice homes for sale on Maui's north shore, and I'm here to help you find the right one.

That's all for now folks - see you at the  beach - aloha from Maui

My Other Blog is....

... more fun.  I have other blogs, in case anyone gives a rip.

By far the most lively and fun place to blog is ActiveRain, and my blog is the MauiHunter blog.

On the other hand - my longest standing blog is HuntingForMauiRealEstate at Blogspot which is also pretty easy to use, and has really quick pick up time by the search engines.  One time I blogged about something in Haliimaile (Maui) and 10 minutes later it came up number 1 in a Google search.  How's that?

When I discover how to add some pictues here, I promise it will get way more interesting.

Can a person have too many blogs?  Please tell me what you think.  I'm listening.

Once again - Aloha from the sunny island of Maui - where dreams do come true.

E-Pro is so easy - 3/4 of the way done!

Apr. 15, 2008

Just finished module 3 and passed with flying colors... yeehaw!  I have to admit that this site's blog tool is not the easiest to find your way around in, but will take some getting used to.  I'm looking forward to completing the e-Pro course and having a designation to tout.

What is it about blogging that's so addictive?  Maybe it's like therapy - not that I would know - to get something off your chest and just spew it out.  I know nobody will ever read this so I don't care.

Since I'm not blogging for points (lol) here I can keep it short and sweet... and I am outta here.
