Old Mission Village and Mission Wells Neighborhoods
Two nice neighborhoods right next to each other, in Oceanside, which are located off Douglas Drive north of the Mission San Luis Rey and Heritage Park in Oceanside yet south of the San Luis Rey River, great family style .
Mission Wells, built in 2004 features 108 two story homes with a Home Owners Association which offers common area maintenance, playground, pool and spa for $110.00 per month fee.
The other neighborhood of 133 homes is known as Old Mission Village. They are ranch style homes built during the 1970’s. There is no H.O.A., and they have much larger yards.
Both neighborhoods show pride of ownership with the fine upkeep in the homes and yards. Prices have begun to drop from local highs in 2005. Present asking prices show a drop of 25% since those historic highs.
Heritage Park Village and Museum is a collection of historic Oceanside buildings maintained by the City of Oceanside.
Mission San Luis Rey, the King of the Missions, offers a great historic, visitor and community center. Currently an active Roman Catholic church with thousands of parishioners. They hold many popular events on the Mission grounds throughout the year.
