Getting rich from buying and selling real estate has been performed since free societies have permitted its citizens to own land. Today our libraries and book stores and the internet is filled with instructions on how to purchase, rent, sell and save on taxes when buying and selling real estate. Whether you are reading the “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” series or Donald Trump or any of the hundreds of instructors to creating an income through buying real estate, all espouse the same rule(?); buy low – sell high.

 

Googling “real estate investment” will give hundreds of results with great information. Now in March of 2009, here in San Diego you may not find the $48,000 home but you will find a home at a small fraction of its past and future value. Following the advice of other investors will create a new career for you, if you are a smart business person, your profit margin will be large. But there is another aspect of the necessary tools needed to create this career; desire.

 

I don’t think there is anyone who has failed to dream of being a real estate mogul like Donald Trump. (Donald’s father is the one who built the empire. The Donald has only built his own ego.) The number of people who have carried out their dream is but a few. Why? Desire!

 

How does the average person turn a dream into reality? Again there are many books and programs that will tell you how. I want to suggest one book. “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. This book covers most of the aspects of what a person needs to become in order to grow rich. My belief is the “Rich” does not have to be money, if that is not what you are seeking. I am studying the book and finding that I now want to be “rich” with patience. If you desire to be rich with real estate, follow the guidelines of Napoleon Hill and turn your dream into reality.

As Hill outlines in his wonderful book, when you use desire, faith, imagination, planning, decision and persistence you will be able to Think and Grow Rich.
