A Whale of a Time on Cape Cod

Cape Cod Feeding Frenzy

The Spring ritual of the right whales returning to Cape Cod in search of food is in full swing. Thanks to unusually large bloom of zooplankton, this year a larger number than usual are returning. In fact scientist are predicting 70-100 whales when ususally only 25-50 appear. Whale watching is one of the joys of living on Cape Cod we take for granted and attracts a lot of tourist to Cape Cod. If you're a whale lover read these great articles about whales on Cape Cod, and some local whale watching companies. Please visit our whale page at http://www.sandbarhomes.com/whales.html

For sellers, perhaps the return of the right whale means the tide will turn in the real estate market and values will begin to level off. For buyers, investors, and those looking to snatch up great bank owned and Cape Cod foreclosure properties you are one like one of the many right whales out there, so to speak. The Spring market is in full swing and now is the time to feed like the whales. We've noticed that the homes priced right, like whales in search of zooplankton, are selling quickly.

Hi Eric, My folks used to live in East Orleans on the Cape. I remember going on a whale watch just a week after a hurricane pased through Cape Cod. There were over 100 whales feeding, you could see at least 30 whales that were on the surface at any one time. There were mother whales with their nursing baby whales that came within 20 feet of our boat.. If anyone can get there to see it, it is an event of a lifetime.
