Spring Market Trends

Feb. 9, 2009

I'm thinking that if you are going to sell, do it now, price it correctly because I believe the market is going to have a lot more homes available. Why? So many people have lost their jobs, everything is connected and if you don't have a job, then you can't pay the bills, if you can't pay the bills well, it's not going to get better anytime soon.

Now if you are sure that you will not lose your job, have good credit and have not bought a home, do it now. Why? Interest rates are still low and the homes on the market are in really good condition because there are so many to choose from.

I think we may find families sharing homes with their parents. Young adults were having a hard time before moving out; think more with opt to stay and may even buy or share the cost of their parents home. I think homes will have more "rooms" for rent; with young adults who are not living at home will be living a "dorm style" environment.

The only way for the country to get out of this mess is to have all costs drop; salaries have dropped, jobs have been lost so everything else will have to drop in order for people to live.

That's it for now.
