Arizona New Laws Effective Jan 1, 2009 |
Take Note of this NEW Law!! Get out your Screwdriver
January 1, 2009 many new pieces of legislation became effective - one piece that seemed to slip through the cracks and is now in place with fines ranging from $100-299!!
It is now illegal to obscure the word ARIZONA on the rear license plate of your vehicle. STATED: "A person shall maintain each license plate so that it is legible and so that the name of this state at the top of the license plate is not obscured."
While the DPS Motor Vehicle Division notes that this legislation is only a revision to an existing traffic law that is already on the books - motorists need to aware of this change and modify/remove license plate holders as necessary.
