Green Valley, AZ In less than a month, Arizona voters will be asked about a constutional amendment regarding a real estate transfer tax. Vote YES to stop real estate transfer taxes before they start. The Protect Our Homes Initiative will constitutionally sheild your home equity from the damaging effects of a real estate transfer tax.
As is often the case - a YES VOTE - will STOP the transfer tax before they start and will prevent:
- Double taxation - Governments already collect taxes on your property every year A transfer tax would be a second tax on your home!
- Loss of Equity - The equity earned by sellers is decreased by transfer taxes.
- Damage to the Real Estate Market - People are already struggling to sell their homes. This tax will only make it more difficult to sell your home.
- Punishment to Homeowners - People who must move should not be punished will higher selling costs.
- A Negative Imapct on Lower-Income Arizonans - Transfer taxes impose a higher burden on lower income Arizonanas that typically spend a larger percentage of their incomes on a home.
Vote YES on Proposition 100 on November 4th.
