Ode to 100' temperature days for 2008? |
Is is farewell to the 100' temps for 2008?
With over 350 days of sunshine annually, those living in Southern Arizona are well acustomed to 100' temperature days. Once the calendar touts "Fall" we're all ready for non-triple digit temperature readings!
Green Valley weather and Southern Arizona temps once again topped out at the triple degree mark on Wednesday, 8' above average. Low humidity makes these temperature readings tolerable - humidity is often in the low teens - supporting the often heard phrase of "it's a dry heat"
As we march towards more fall like weather - nights become more crisp - sunshine filled days - perfect weather for getting out and hiking or birding in Madera Canyon, rolling out some training miles on the bicycle for El Tour de Tucson.
Fall also marks many seasonal festivals and of course high school and college football games.
Southern Arizona has lots of activities and events to offer everyone!
