The Newport Dunes and Golf Club will open on Thursday, September 4th. The first benefit golf tournament sponsored by the Port Aransas Kiwanis Club will be held on Saturday, September 13th. Entries were limited to 120 and were filled by Monday, September 1. This Arnold Palmer signature golf course is open to the public.
Newport Dunes is a links-style course that weaves through prime real estate on the Gulf-side, passes by The Beach Club and the Tennis Club, and returns to a planned fitness and clubhouse. For more information see http://NewportdunesGolf.com.
Although our local Port Aransas market is only down about 10%, this will undoubtedly create more interest in the area and generate more sales. I am encouraged by the fact that my office building is located right across from the entryway to the course, and I'm taking referrals!
