Welcome to my Best of the El Dorado Hills weblog! The Hills I refer to here are the foothills east of the Sacramento Valley. My inspiration for this blog came as a result of my Real Estate profession where touring homes and knowing the inventory are some of the best parts of my job. Though my predominant intention here is to tell you about the homes for sale that have wow’d me, I also want to include what I consider to be among “other bests” of living in this wonderful area. Loch Way, El Dorado Hills, CA - What an opportunity! This is one of those times when the pictures don't do justice to the home. It was built in 1992 on just over two acres, in the beautiful upscale custom neighborhood of Sterlingshire, which is situated on the northern end of El Dorado Hills. Spring Meadow Road, Cameron Park, CA - This beautiful country estate sold back in July 2006 for just under $3 Million and today, sadly, it has gone back to the bank but the potential for it are huge. The home, built in 1991, is in the gated neighborhood of Cameron Estates where it sits on approximately 5 oak studded acres with its own private gate. Along with the 7297 square foot main house there is also a guest house, pool, spa, pool house, a lighted tennis court, 4 car garage, and RV parking with hookups. The inside is very dated and would need to be completely redone. The grounds have been neglected and need some work. All in all though this is a great find and could once again be the magnificent place it was not so long ago. It is currently listed at $1,489,937. El Dorado Hills, CA - This contemporary home was part of the 1988 Street of Dreams in the Summit neighborhood. It sat in all its grandeur on a 3/4 acre wooded lot with 4060 square feet. Its dramatic interior and designer touches are evident but it is in dire need to TLC to restore it to its original beauty. Now a bank owned property offered at $785,000, it is an incredible value and opportunity. The picture on the right of the pool are from a much earlier day.
