Oct. 30, 2008 - Former US Homes Model in El Dorado Hills
Brittany Way, El Dorado Hills, CA - Wow! US Homes builds and excellent home and this former Reagan model is exquisite. It was built in 2000, in the Crown Valley neighborhood on just over 1 acre, where there are no Mello Roos and no HOA dues. The builder used extensive upgrades throughout. In the gourmet kitchen you'll find such things as granite counters, travertine floors, a butler's panty, and two dishwashers. The flooring in the living room that you can see when you enter, looks like a beautiful rich wood but it is amazingly stamped concrete. The home has approximately 3996 square feet with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and also includes a bonus room and home office. Outside in the spacious backyard, you'll find a built in fireplace and a magnificent pool and spa combination. This popular neighborhood has the added benefit of being within the boundaries of one of the best elementary schools in the area, Lakeview Elementary. This amazing home is listed at $985,000. Please email me for more pictures or information.

Oct. 5, 2008 - Best Deal for Folsom - Oct. 4, 2008*
Tomlinson Drive, Folsom, CA - The best price per square foot home for Folsom is this 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom, 4831 square foot house. It was built in 1991 on approximately .28 acres in the neighborhood of American River Canyon North. It features high ceilings, huge rooms, hardwood floors, an upstairs master bedroom with a double sided fireplace (from bedroom to bathroom) and it's own balcony. The kitchen has granite counters. It is bank owned and currently listed for $675,900 or $139.91. (There are a couple fixer upper homes for less but for the purpose of my best deal category I leave out fixers as they are of a subjective nature and the cost to fix them is too hard to calculate.) To give you perspective on the price of this home, our Lyon Real Estate Trendgpraphix statistics for the month of August show for all property types (short sales, bank owned, and non bank owned) 60 homes sold for an average of $198 per square foot and a list price to sale price average of 97%. Of those 60 sales, 8 were bank owned and sold at an average per square foot price of $171 with 96% list to sale price. This home sold 11/26/2008.

Welcome to my Best of the El Dorado Hills weblog! The Hills I refer to here are the foothills east of the Sacramento Valley. My inspiration for this blog came as a result of my Real Estate profession where touring homes and knowing the inventory are some of the best parts of my job. Though my predominant intention here is to tell you about the homes for sale that have wow’d me, I also want to include what I consider to be among “other bests” of living in this wonderful area. You can search by categories, by clicking on the links below, or click on a tag word under one of my postings for more blogs about that subject. The prices shown on each blog is as of the date written. I'll try and update them when time allows. Please keep in mind that sometimes the pictures don't do a home justice, but they are what the listing agent has submitted to the MLS and what I have to work with. For more pictures or information on any of these postings or for help in locating similar homes available in our area, please contact me by clicking on the “Email Me” link below. Be sure and check out My Favorite Links for more helpful sites. Blog postings with * following the name indicate that the home has been sold and is no longer available.
