Real Estate Technology

Instant Client Contract (edit/delete)

Last night I was up at 12:oo updating my website and got an email concerning one of my listings. I was able to email ( his preferred method of contact) him back right away and open the lines of communication.

As technology is changing real estate agents are required to contact clients and potential clients much faster than ever before. As an agent with Coldwell Banker our listings are going out to more website which only increases the number of times our listings can be viewed and the various ways a client can reach out to you.

Because I enjoy technology and try to be up on the latest and greatest I find it easy to be in touch but I do know agents that are not interested in learning about what they can do to provide more information and get things done faster. Their comment has always been a "I prefer personal interaction with my clients". I say you can have that too.. but faster. Our clients are demanding new ways of getting in touch with us at all times of the day and if you can't provide that, well in a very short period of time you will be out of business.

My suggestion is attend classes, read, sit with an agent in your office that already is in-tune with technology and learn how it can only enhance your business.

Debbie,

You are abolutely correct that there can be a balance, and needs to be a balance, between online interaction and personal communication.  Those that don't master text, email, and online communication will be left behind.  Those that feel that they can get their business run 100% through technology will be the first to lose their clients to other agents that appeal on a more emotional level.

I work with all of our agents on developing a hierarchy of their contacts so that they spend the most face time with their best prospects (whether buyers/seller or referral sources).  This isn't new by any stretch and is a Buffini-Ziglar-Herder-(insert favorite coach here) method taught the world over.  Incorporating technology (all different types depending on what suites your client best) is what will set you apart.
