I have just completed the National Association of REALTORS GREEN Designation training in Orlando FL and am now a Foundation member of the NAR's GREEN REsource Council.

I strongly recommend this educational training for all Realtors that well be coming to your local Real Estate Associations in the near future. This new paradigm is going to become more important and is a way of life in both our personal life and our real estate practice.

Education and learning is a life long process and is the only way to grow.

Bob,

I will be taking the course for the Green Realtor designation the week after next. Can you tell me what the elective requirement is? Is it something I can do ahead?

Thanks,

Ellen

Good luck and enjoy your experience. As you will learn there, the Residential elective is offered online. Goes quick.

YOU MIGHT GO ON TO THE ECO-BROKER CERTIFIED as the building details and web links are very good.

Where are you located?

Going GREEN marketing here soon, even changed my business name slightly....Nice to have a new GREEN friend.

I'm in Missouri and met a gentlmen at the NAR Convention who was really excited about the designation. I have recently run into some developments that are saying they're "green" but they really mean energy efficient. Does this course deal with when it is appropriate to label something as "green".
