Moving to Billings, MT from the East Coast...my story |
My journey as a real estate agent began when I decided to move to Billings, Montana to bring my fiancée close to her family and for us also to start one of our own. I was born in Brooklyn, New York, left when I was 17, off to college... Bachelors from SUNY Buffalo (Early Childhood Education) and Masters from American InterContinental University in Washington DC (Information Technology).
I've lived all over the East Coast working in a wide variety of professions, from social worker to dotcom guru. Now I am in Montana working as a Century 21 Real Estate Agent...and doing quite well considering the economy. I worked as a career developer for youth in a transitional care home, a teacher for adults the were developmentally disabled, a account manager advising those on welfare how to obtain a job, write resumes and so on, restaurant manager, bartender, waiter, host, worked for the department of state, MCI, and Worldcom
I met my wife in the country south of the border to us (she's originally from Bozeman, MT), on vacation. Fell in love moved her from Montana to Wshington DC Metro area, she moved in with me for 2 years when we decided it was time for us to move on and start a family.
Before moving to Montana I had to sell my house…my initial real estate agent took three months and never sold it. The next agent I hired sold it in 1 week…and you know why? He hired someone to come to my house a do a virtual tour, and a couple of days later I had a contract. Check out this site. This is my second company here in Billings, call me with any questions...anyway back to my story.
So my house in VA is now sold and we are driving 22 hours to Billings, MT to start a career in real estate as well as begin the family....but first, I need to make a name for myself in real estate.
To be continued.....
