Shouldn't you expect to own Property?

Jan. 5, 2009

Shouldn’t you expect to own property?  As a young Realtor, I have many first time home buying clients, and it is actually a great joy for me to work with first time buyers, as they have many of the questions that I had only a few years ago.  How does the process work?  Where do I start?  Should I buy or rent?

In times like these, where housing prices are so low and mortgage interest rates are so low, it can make a lot of sense to buy right now.  Is home buying for everyone?  Nope, but it should at least be worth your time to talk with a few real estate professionals.

While starting the process can be scary, simply starting the conversation with someone in the business will enable a new buyer to start thinking about.  Working with someone you can trust is very important, as getting into the right property and being able to afford it is obviously very important, as we learn from the past few years’ mistakes.  Interview your agent.  Interview your mortgage professional.  These are people you should be working with for years to come, so starting out now while dedication to the craft is demanded can help you for years to come.  It cannot hurt to ask if ownership is a possibility.  David A.
