Super Victory! |
The Super Bowl is just around the corner. Will the Patriots go unbeaten? Will the Giants pull off one of the all-time great Super Bowl upsets? Who will victorious?
I recently looked up the definition of victory in Websters dictionary and it said...1. a success or triumph over an enemy in battle or war 2. an engagement ending in such triumph 3. the ultimate and decisive superiority in any battle or contest 4. a success and superior position achieved against any opponent, opposition or difficulty...I'll stop there since you get the picture.
You are probably wondering why I would recite those definitions to you. You know what victory means, right? Only once before in NFL history has a team gone unbeaten. Normally the team suffers some loses. The Giants did not roll over and give up after they lost a couple games early. They learned from there loses. They got better as the season went on and surprised a lot of people by making the Super Bowl.
Are you learning from your losses in life? Take a moment to analyze this. You are either a victor in life or a victim in life. Victors learn from their loses and failures and next time they go to battle, next time they face a difficulty they are prepared to triumph.
A victim of life takes a defeat and stays down. Victims of life tend to have pity parties because of there loses and failures. They tend to have reasons (excuses) to why things did not work out. Most of the time they blame the defeat on someone else.
I believe we all have what it takes to be victorious in life. Ask yourself these questions: Do you want to be happy or sad? Would you rather be healthy or diseased? Would you rather have good family relationships or bad ones? Do you want peace of mind or constant strife?
I could go on and on. I believe you chose the positive things as the things you want in life. Yet if you choose to have a victim mentality you destroy that. One of the reason is because if your a victim of life you probably have the mind set that someone else actions created your pain. If this person would not have, lied, cheated or hurt... you would feel better about life. Is this the way to be?
I realize someone may have hurt you bad and messed you up. But let that be a temporary situation. Put a game plan together for victory next time out. You can create the victory by changing your mindset to see what you want out of life. Write it down and visualize it. Start to believe in it.
The Patriots and Giants have prepared for two weeks. They have went over plays, strategies, and tendencies over and over. So when they get out on the field on Sunday they will have a purpose and a strong plan for what they need to do to create the victory.
Whats your plan for victory in life? What are your goals for tomorrow, next week, 2008? What are some life dreams do you have? Think about them and write them out. Review them often. Don't be the victim of life with the can't do mindset. Access that unstoppable power that causes you to triumph and be victorious over and over!
Someone may have informed you that God holds your failures against you. Let me tell you that is not true. When you put your faith in Jesus, God instantaneously gives you an undefeated record. If you really don't feel undefeated right now is a good time to say this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I feel beaten down by life. I come to you now to ask for forgiveness of all the things I have done to feel this way. I trust in you right now to refresh me and give me a brand new undefeated record and I choose to make you my personal savior! Amen!
If you prayed the simple prayer you have renewed your hope! Find good bible based church or get active in your current church and put God first place in your life. Doing this makes you a champion!
