Opportunity vs Adversity

Feb. 21, 2008
Tagged with: adversity, message, opportunity, test

Have you ever been bombarded with a message?  Where day after day you kept seeing or hearing the same thing over and over. It was the type of message that seemed to address a specific situation that not many people would know about.  Perhaps only a few people close to you and God knew of your adversity.  Has it made you think that perhaps someone (God) is trying to get a message across to you?  Did you listen to the message or ignore it?

Last week I had a series of days were the same message was being delivered to me.  Its was delivered to me slightly different each time, but all in all it was the same message.  Today I thought I would share that message because I believe the message is not only for me, but for some of you reading this as well.

I know a lot of people are going through struggles right now.  They might be financial struggles, relationship struggles, struggles with happiness, peace or hope.  I don't know if any of these are your struggles, but if they are, have no fear because of the message I am about to share.

Opportunity vs Adversity

I believe any struggle or adversity you are going through right now is just a test.  I believe if you suffered a setback you can rejoice because your setback is a set up for your comeback! Remember that if you go through a mess, you now have message to share.  Remember if you don't push through a test, how are you going to have a testimony?

I was listing to a radio sermon last weekend and Chuck Swindel said, "Often times opportunity comes brilliantly disguised has an impossible situation."  How true is that for you?  Are you going through an impossible situation?  Rejoice!  Because this is a chance to pass the test.  Have faith and trust!  This may be just the opportunity you were looking for.  Can you see it?  Don't look at the impossible.  Believe that all things are possible!  Your current adversity is your opportunity!

The greatest impact you can leave on this earth is your story or your message.  That's what will last.  It won't be the material things you possess or the awards you win.  The thing that will last is the message you share -the lives you have impacted with that message.  How have you served your brothers, sisters, neighbors, friends and even your enemies? Up to this point have you made your life an inward focus- meaning mostly about you?

Your adversity has come at the perfect time.  You see its your time to share. Its about time that someone hears your message.  So turn your trials to triumph!  Turn your problems to possibility! Your adversity is your opportunity!  "For nothing will be impossible with God!" (Luke 1:37)  If you are struggling, God is not mad at you. He is trying to bless you!  Now is a great opportunity for you!

All things are possible!
