I am a member of Direct Buy. I recently remodeled my kitchen and saved $3500 on appliances (over the best price place, much more over Sears and Lowes) I also saved about $12,000 on cabinets over the best price I had found on comparable cabinets. If you want to buy a washing machine, don't join Direct Buy. If you're going to do major work, it is a great savings.
