If all the leads have the following in common:
  • The lead is sent via plain text e-mail (HTML can work but sometimes be problematic)
  • Contact information in the text of the e-mail prefixed by a definition of what it is.
For example:
E-mail 'From' Line: Lead@MyWebSite#1.com
Text of the e-mail:
You have a lead generated from XYZ, yadda yadda -
Name: Gary Hall
Address: 74 N Hamilton Street
City: Doylestown
State: PA
Zip: 18901
Interested in: Selling
Time Frame: 0 - 3 months
etc.
Mark-It Advantage Xi allows you to take that data and create a rule, similar to how Outlook creates rules, but much more sophisticated in certain ways. It will;
  • add that person as a contact based on which fields you tell it to fill in, using what is in the e-mail
  • categorize them as a "Web#1 Hot Seller Lead"(or whatever you choose)
  • launch your "Web#1 Hot Seller Lead" (or whatever you tell it to launch) follow-up plan/drip campaign

Kathleen said in part:

I think you've hit on a real sore point in existing real estate technology, and that's the need for integration.

Right now, real estate professionals have several places where leads are generated. At a minimum, most people have leads generated on their websites and their IDX searches. Others may be getting leads from their blogs, mailings they send out, and I'm sure the list goes on.

I'd like to see integration among all these systems. An open source-type set of technologies that would allow leads generated from a variety of places to be automatically funneled to one central database.

Then, you'd only have to manage one database, you'd only need one set of drip email campaigns, you'd be able to send mailings of interest to one group of prospects from one location.
