Hi All,

This is for any Naperville IL agents or brokers out there. I have a client who is looking to purchase a home in Naperville and he has heard from a friend that they are changing the tranfer tax from buyer paid to seller paid. He seems hestitant to buy right now thinking he will save a few bucks if they do. No one at the municilpality seems have any clue. Has anyone out there heard this rumor?

Thanks for your input on this.

Sincerely,
Denis

Tax Rate

This tax is based on the sale price of each piece of property sold. The buyer currently pays $3 per $1000 of the sale price. For more information call (630) 420-4116.

The above is from their online website. I haven't heard about any changes.
