If you recall during Bill Clinton's first two years was controlled by the Democrats. It wasn't until the Republicans gained control did we get capital gains reductions, welfare reform, etc. If those of you were in real estate when they changed the law to give people the $250-$500K exemption. That really accelerated real estate sales and release billions of dollars into the economy. I never personally cared for Bill Clinton the person, but with a Republican congress
